NORWICH – A former resident, currently serving time in state prison for violating the terms of his probation on an unrelated charge, was sentenced to one year in the Chenango County Correctional Facility after pleading guilty to one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, in county court Monday.

The conviction stems from a December, 2011 incident, when Lee Anthony Warner, 28, is alleged to have committed sexual acts on a minor. He was originally charged with committing a second degree criminal sexual act (a class D violent felony), second degree sexual abuse (a class A misdemeanor), and endangering the welfare of a child, although the first two charges were dropped as part of an agreed disposition between the district attorney and public defender.
