OXFORD – Sunday, at 4 p.m., 6 On The Square (6OTS) is presenting a special early performance by “one of the era’s finest and most thoughtful singer/songwriters,” the award winning Cosy Sheridan. With a charming stage presence, an irrepressible wit and an honest soul, this concert will envelope you with delight.

Cosy’s sense of lyricism, dreamy vocals, and masterful guitar work, has made her one of contemporary folk music’s greats. She first caught the attention of national folk audiences in 1992 when she won both the Kerrville Folk Festival’s New Folk Award and The Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour Contest.

Since then she’s released ten CDs, the latest in 2011, The Horse King; she’s written a one-woman-show; and her music has appeared in books and films. She is one of the most respected touring musicians on the folk circuit, appearing everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Philadelphia Folk Festival.
