Wild Wheels Weekend benefits Norwich girl

MT. UPTON – The Wild Wheels Weekend Benefit Truck and Tractor Pull will take place June 8-10 at the Mt. Upton Community Park on Rt. 8.

All proceeds from the event will benefit five-month old Emily Maricle of Norwich, who was born 15 weeks early with a heart defect.

Emily has already undergone one surgery, but faces more later in life.

General admission for the event will be $2 on Friday and $5 for adults on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free for children five and younger.

“It’s a great family weekend in a non-alcoholic environment,” said co-organizer Paul Musk. “Bring your kids and expect a great time.”

The weekend begins at 5 p.m. on Friday with a “Fun Pull” open to the community and any stock truck or tractor. There will be no set classes and each “hook” will cost $10 with no limit.
