NORWICH – For years, he’s been something of a musical staple in Chenango County. And on June 3, local music lovers will have an opportunity to bid guitarist, songwriter and teacher Tom Rasely a fond farewell as he prepares to leave the land of the bullthistle for southern Indiana.

For those who know the talented songster, it should come as no surprise that this farewell will take form as a concert, one that will feature an extremely gifted group of local musicians who have performed with – and befriended – Rasely over the years.

Guest musicians including vocalist Meena Nair, Susan Marson on oboe, organist Bob Oehme, guitarists Roy Coston and Ron Palmer, Bob Tousignant on drums, bassist Carl Pickett and special guest Scott B. Adams will all join Rasely on stage for what is sure to be a once in a lifetime musical event.

For Rasely, it’s a chance to say goodbye in the only way he knows, through music.
