The Marauders needed a win Monday night and an Ilion victory over Clinton in order to play for a tie for the Center State Conference division title. Clinton dashed S-E’s hopes beating Ilion on Monday.

“I lot was depending on the Clinton and Ilion game, but we still had to go out and win our game tonight,” said S-E coach Brian Hicks. “I thought the time off might hurt us, but we jumped right on (Canastota).”

Mike Khoury, Mike Wilson, and Jesse Yerton all had 2-for-3 days to lead S-E (6-2, 8-5). Matt Crandall pitched 4 1-3 innings to earn the victory. S-E hosts Ilion today at 4:30 p.m.
