Foulds wins two junior college national titles

ALFRED – SUNY Delhi sophomore, Tyler Foulds (Unadilla Valley) won two national titles and earned all-American honors in three events at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Track and Field National Championships last weekend at Alfred.

Foulds threw personal-bests in the shot put, discus, and hammer throw finishing first in the shot and disc, and second in the hammer throw. “The shot put was probably the best competition of the entire championships,” said Foulds’ coach at Delhi, Justin Wood. “Tyler entered the shot put ranked first, so he was the last thrower to go. The athlete in front of Tyler, on his last throw, threw 14.57 (meters) to take the lead. On Tyler’s last throw, he stepped up big to throw 14.64 meters.”
