‘Dancing Around the World’ this Saturday

NORWICH – Experience the Tango from Argentina, the Flamenco from Spain and a sampling of many other international dance styles as the Norwich Dance Club presents a Dancing Around the World extravaganza at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Chenango County Council of the Arts.

Performers will dress in colorful costumes while a short narration introduces the unique history of each national dance style and its origins. In addition to the popular Tango and Flamenco, dancers will showcase the Samba from Brazil, Candle and Cane Dance from the Middle East, Waltzes from Austria & Germany, the Irish Reel and Irish Jig from Ireland, Rueda Salsa from Cuba, and All American Swing dance from the U.S.A.

There will also be a special performance by the award winning Norwich-based professional dance troupe, The Phoenix Project.
