NORWICH – The Chenango Relay For Life committee will hold a special Team Captains meeting at 5:30 tonight in the Morrisville State College Norwich Campus Community Room, 20 Conkey Ave., an opportunity for new teams and their respective captains to learn more about the 2012 Relay For Life, to be held July 20 at the Chenango County Fairgrounds.

According to Relay event co-chair Marie DeSarro, tonight’s meeting will include information on the role and responsibilities of a team captain; a brief, online tutorial on maneuvering and registering a team; and additional information on running a successful fundraising campaign.

Added DeSarro, “We’re gearing this toward new team captains, but all captains are welcome to attend ... sometimes it’s nice to have some of our ‘veterans’ there to help talk about their experiences and ideas.”
