Woodford sets record

ITHACA – Cornell University freshman, Katie Woodford, broke a 20-year-old Barton Hall record, last weekend at the Marc Deneault Memorial Invitational.

Woodford (Oxford, Oxford Academy), a state champion runner in high school for Oxford Academy, ran the 300-meter dash in 39.11 seconds, and was the women’s most valuable track athlete. Woodford’s time was also well under the previous school record.

Woodford’s twin sister, Emily, added a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash (26.18).
