Oxford bridge falls into history

The old truss bridge in downtown Oxford came down Monday after several attempts by construction crews to dismantle the 60-year-old structure. This morning, workers began removing the steel beams which made up the bridge's overhead truss work. A new, more streamlined bridge will soon take its place. Until then, a pedestrian walkway temporarily spans the Chenango River.
