Rappleyea honored in NYC

At the recent New York State GOP Annual Dinner in New York City, the Party honored all current and former members of the New York State Assembly Republican Conference for their outstanding service to the party and to the state, and presented its Lifetime Achievement award to former Minority Leader C.D. "Rapp" Rappleyea of Norwich.

In making the presentation, State GOP Chairman Ed Cox stated, “Rapp best epitomizes the role of Assembly GOP leader, and is the one most responsible for the respect the conference has earned over the years, which is why we have chosen him to receive this award on behalf of all of his colleagues.”

"Rapp has enjoyed an outstanding career in public service including twenty two years in the Assembly, serving as Leader for more than half of that time. He also served as Chairman of the State Power Authority. Today he continues to be a mentor to elected officials and office seekers and is often called upon by government and political leaders for advice and guidance."
