Greene swims to first win of season

Girls’ Swimming

Greene 103, Windsor 73

GREENE – Greene won 10 of 12 events, and earned its first win of the season Tuesday night against visiting Windsor.

Emily Bertram and Jessica Brooks had four total victories for the Trojans (1-2) as each won two individual events and swam on a pair of victorious relays. “During the warmups, I sensed quite a bit of energy, and we capitalized on it,” said Greene coach Mike Platta. “The talk the entire meet was about keeping the energy up. The girls swam well, and I am proud of them.”

Jenny Yeager won the 200 freesytle; Katelyn Shear took the 100 free, Moriah McCauley won the 500 free, and Rebecca Smith won her first individual event this season taking the 50 freestyle. The Trojans are at Susquehanna Valley Tuesday.
