Family Court Warrant Leads To Cocaine Bust

NORWICH – Jack G. Alexander, 29, Norwich, was charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, following his arrest on an unrelated active warrant issued by the Chenango County Family Court.

A Chenango County Sheriff’s Deputy, accompanied by a member of the City Police, was searching for Alexander – named in the warrant for allegedly failing to pay his child support – on the night of Sept. 20. When taken into custody, law enforcement officials said Alexander was found to be in possession of 22 individually packaged bags of crack-cocaine.
