The Waymores - Free Concert in LaFayette Park!

OXFORD – On Saturday at 7 p.m., 6 On The Square (6OTS) welcomes the outstanding and highly original, Waymores, who will be performing on stage in LaFayette Park. Friends and families bring your lawn chairs or blankets – this is a free concert and a special musical treat to be enjoyed by everyone! If you get the barbecue chicken dinner, you’ll be all set.

The Waymores are a delicious blend of contemporary folk, retro pop, and old school country by three of the best performing songwriters in the world! The Waymores are Nashville songwriters Don Henry, Sally Barris, and Tom Kimmel. Their concerts together have been described as “Alt-Nashville Songwriters in the Round,” as they pass the microphone around and accompany each others music.

Grammy Award winner Don Henry’s songs have been recorded by Ray Charles, Patti Page, Conway Twitty, Kathy Mattea and dozens of other great artists... but they shine brightest when sung by the artist who wrote them. Long appreciated as one of Nashville’s finest singer-songwriters, Don is revered by fans, critics and peers alike for being one of the most inspiring, entertaining and funny (!) artists you are ever likely to see and hear.
