Oxford Legion Auxiliary installs officers

OXFORD – The Oxford American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) held the installment of its new officers on June 13 during their regular monthly meeting. The new 2011- 2012 officers are Cindy Hubschmitt, President; Sylvia Witchella, First Vice; Sandy Dain, Second Vice; Barbara Bogie, Secretary; Julie Blanford, Treasurer and Membership Chairman; Lillian Quinn, Chaplin; Eileen Lewis, Historian; and Roberta Knoll, Sergeant-at-Arms.

The American Legion Auxiliary is the world’s largest women’s patriotic service organization. They are proud to be helping for over ninety years of “Service Not Self, for Veterans, God and Country.” They focus on three major areas: Veterans, Young People, Americanism and the community. On the local level, the ALA has over 200 members, giving many volunteer hours to help the community.
