Enter the Haggis: Celtic Rock comes to EOH

EARLVILLE – The Earlville Opera House welcomes Enter the Haggis with their innovative Celtic rock at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 4. Enter the Haggis, an explosive Celtic-rock quintet (complete with kilts!), combines the traditional sounds of the highland bagpipe and fiddle with a powerhouse rhythm section and inventive songwriting to create an infectious hybrid of old and new Celtic. Their raucous live show is full of raw energy and beautiful melodies.

The band is known for their inventive songwriting with material coming from guitarist Trevor Levington and fiddle player Brian Buchanan. However, piper Craig Downie has also contributed original material for the band. Brian on fiddle gives a masterful performance. Electric guitar duties are handled by Trevor Lewington. Nova Scotia native Mark Abraham can really lay down a bass rhythm. And then there's Bruce McCarthy who holds it all together with his powerhouse rhythms on drum.
