Tip Line Call Leads To Drug Arrest

NORWICH – On Wednesday afternoon, Norwich City Police arrested Rhonda L. Hernandez, 23, of 115 Rexford St., and charged her with five counts of 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor and one count of criminally using drug paraphernalia, also a class A misdemeanor.

The arrest was the result of calls to the department’s TIPS line (336-8477), and a brief investigation that culminated with a search warrant and arrest.

“We received calls alerting us to unusual activity at 115 Rexford St. We conducted surveillance and further investigations and were able to make this arrest,” said Chief Joseph Angelino.
