GREENE – For 26 years, George Canfield could only watch as bowlers participated in the Greene Bowlodrome Men’s House Handicap Tournament, for he was the co-owner of the alley during that time. Canfield knows the lanes well, and he showed that in winning the tournament last Saturday, March 5.

Twenty bowlers participated with the top five participating in a TV-style tournament roll-off to determine the champion. The qualifiers by order of finish were Canfield, 998, Benjamin Tyo, 990, Sam Beebe, 983, Ralph Goodrich, 975, and Jim Ciriglano 974.
