The Sherburne Fire Department and EMS responded to a cabin fire at Sear’s Pond, County Route 24 in the Town of Columbus at approximately 10 a.m. this morning. Second Assistant Fire Chief Vern Palmiter said he was unsure whether the structure was occupied at this time or new construction. More details will be provided in Monday’s Evening Sun.
