Benefit For Jim Wright This Weekend

SHERBURNE – The friends and family of Jim and Maureen Wright will be sponsoring an All Day Benefit for Jim on Saturday at the Sherburne American Legion, Jim suffered a stroke over a month ago and has no health insurance.

For over 30 years, Jim and Maureen Wright have been the owners of “The Gateway” who have been outfitting area Sports Teams, American Legions, and Rotary Groups with their customized apparel needs. With humble beginnings, they had a vision and brought that vision to life knowing the importance of family, values and independence. With a passion for this lifestyle and an entrepreneurial spirit, “The Gateway” was born. With a service first mentality, Jim and Maureen have a large selection of clothing, jackets, hats and apparel to choose from which they create that one of a kind look for their customers.

In these challenging economic times many small business owners such as the Wrights, have no health insurance coverage Jim was treated at Crouse Irving Hospital in Syracuse and has since moved to St. Camillus also in Syracuse where he is continuing his subacute rehabilitation. Jim is a lifelong resident of Earlville, graduating from Sherburne-Earlville and establishing his business in Hamilton.
