Supporters of Rogers Environmental Education Center in Sherburne held a rally Friday afternoon, the last day of formal operations for the center. The event drew a crowd of sign-carriers, some of whom stopped cars asking for a 4-cent donation, the purported per-taxpayer cost of keeping the outdoor education facility open. While Rogers’ trails and park lands will still be accessible to the public, maintenance and programming have ceased.
