Local residents lined up around the block for the grand opening of the new Denny’s Restaurant, located in the former Studebaker’s Classic Grill and Pub in the Howard Johnson Hotel. Patrons occupying the first 100 tables at the downtown eatery received 52 vouchers for a free Grand Slam breakfast, to be used once a week for a year.
