NORWICH – This year’s Paint the County Purple Day, a local offshoot of the American Cancer Society’s Paint the Town Purple Day, was an unprecedented success throughout the county, according to Chenango Relay For Life Chairperson Marie DeSarro.

“I received a lot of feedback from local businesses and organizations throughout the day, letting me know that they were celebrating Paint the County Purple in one way or another,” stated DeSarro. “Many dressed in purple at their place of employment and some businesses who aren’t even involved with a specific team still participated.”
