NORTH NORWICH – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man they believe responsible for lighting a van on fire along State Highway 12 in North Norwich after beating it with a baseball bat.

Thirty-three-year-old David C. Anderson Jr., of Oxford, was arrested Saturday and charged with third degree arson, a C class felony. He was arraigned in Town of North Norwich Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail.
