Ian Edwards scored a career-high 22 points for the Raiders (5-9), and Jon Scofield had his fourth straight double-double finishing with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

“Edwards was a huge factor tonight, and he played both ends of the floor with a great deal of aggression,” said G-MU coach Bill Hartman. “It was gratifying to see him come out of his shell.”

Edmeston seemed in control leading 32-27 at halftime. Tanner Ray had 15 points in the opening half thanks to three treys, and Blake Vibbard added six points. Each Panthers player had just one field goal in the second half as G-MU seized the lead and dominated the second half. Edwards had 11 over the final two periods and Scofield nine. Andrew Delmar added 10 points, and freshman Eddie Ray Cotton scored a season-high eight.

“A lot of our recent success is attributed to the trust our players now have for each other,” Hartman said. “We’re showing a willingness to share the ball and we’re more patient on offense.”

G-MU is at Morris on Friday night.
