Norwich buries Sus Valley with three-point barrage

Norwich 81, Susquehanna Valley 41

NORWICH – It was number 12 for 12 on Norwich’s senior recognition night.

Josh Borfitz, who wears the number 12, hit his club’s team-record 12th total three-pointer late in the third quarter. At that point, Norwich had the game well at hand as the Tornado shattered the team-record of three-pointers in a game finishing with 14 in picking up their eighth win this season.

“People might think that 14 three-pointers is unusual, but we run the same offense against zone defenses or man-to-man,” said Norwich coach Mark Abbott. “We practice the same thing every day, and those shots (three-pointers) are what we expect to get. Sometimes we make them, and sometimes we don’t. Tonight, we shot the three-pointers at a high percentage.”
