Woman airlifted to Wilson following Route 12 crash

OXFORD – New York State Police say drugs were a factor in a one-car motor vehicle accident on Route 12 near Millbrook Road in the Town of Oxford which closed a portion of the state highway for nearly 2 1/2 hours Wednesday night.

The driver of the vehicle, Megan E. Davison, 20, of Carbondale, Pa. was airlifted by Guthrie Air to Wilson Memorial Hospital following the crash. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, according to the NYS Trooper Barracks in Norwich.

“It took well over an hour to extricate the victim,” reported Emergency Management Officer A. Wesley Jones, who responded to the scene with the Oxford Emergency Squad.
