Decorate And Donate With Hospice Poinsettias
Published: November 10th, 2009

NORWICH – In the middle of winter it’s nice to have a splash of living color in your home, and the flower most associated with Christmas is the poinsettia. Millions are sold each year and only the Christmas tree is a more popular decoration.

Hospice of Chenango County would like to remind individuals that they can support the work of Hospice by purchasing beautiful poinsettias during their upcoming campaign. The money raised helps fill the gap between what Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance reimburses the agency for an individual’s care, and the true cost of care. “In these tight economic times, it’s more important than ever that our fundraisers are successful,” says the agency’s Development and Community Relations Coordinator Donna Wood-Craig. “We are in the process of mailing order forms to those on our mailing list, as well as running internal sales in many schools and businesses throughout Chenango County similar to our spring plant sale.”
