Troopers Charge Seven For Burglaries Over Three Counties

BINGHAMTON – The New York State Police announced the arrest of seven people Friday believed to have stolen more than $20,000 in collector’s coins and jewelry from residences located in Broome and Chenango County and also in Susquehanna County, Pa.

The state police at Binghamton were assisted by the Pennsylvania State Police, the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Division of Parole.

Police charged each of the following defendants with second-degree burglary, a C class felony, and they were remanded to the Broome County Correctional Facility without bail:

• Jerry W. Armondi Jr., 22, of Bourbon Street, Norwich.

• Matthew J. Murray, 19, of Acre Place, Kirkwood.
