S-E 5, Canastota 1

CANASTOTA – Five different Sherburne-Earlville players found the net on Monday against Canastota, and the Marauders were able to stretch their winning streak to three games.

The win nudged S-E to one victory from evening its Center State Conference league mark. Overall S-E is 4-8-1, but 4-5-1 in CSC play.

Eric Muth, Alec Shedden, Kerry VanAlthuis, Oria Bays, and Brian Palmer were all credited with goals in the win.

Owego 8, Norwich 1

NORWICH – Owego played up to its number two state ranking among Class B schools, especially in the second half where it tacked on five goals in a win over Norwich Monday.

Michael Spadine and Camden Bushen each had hat tricks for the Indians.

Norwich’s David Layman had 10 saves, and came out of the goal in the second half to score Norwich’s lone tally getting an assist from Jason Woodard.
