“An Oxford Cavalcade” premieres this Weekend

OXFORD – Over There, Over There, Send the word for …“An Oxford Cavalcade” is coming and you’ll want to get a chair! “An Oxford Cavalcade” is a local tale of patriotism and charm, from the time of “The Great War” and suffragettes, told with old-time authentic music. Written and directed by Fred Dankert, and produced by Diane Thorne, this musical theater is pure entertainment and great fun for all ages.

This is the second collaboration of two very talented Oxford residents, Thorne and Dankert, the founders of the Oxford Civic Theatre. They wanted to provide a forum to help area artists thrive, and unlock the artistic potential of every Chenango County resident, whether it be on stage or back stage. They started last year with their first production, “The Last Doll Christmas Musical”. This was a huge undertaking with an original script by Fred and an original score by Diane. It was a big holiday hit! (Part two is in the works.)
