Published: April 21st, 2009

GREENE – Chenango River Theatre the Binghamton area’s equity, non-profit, professional theatre company, will offer two weeks of summer drama classes, taught by professional actors, at a special rate of just $95 for students registered by June 1. Due to CRT’s production schedule, enrollment is open only to the first 15 students to register for each of the two classes. Both classes will be taught at Chenango River Theatre’s new home at 991 State Highway 12, two miles south of Greene.

Taught by working professional actors from NYC and Toronto, each class meets daily at the theatre for two weeks. CRT’s Drama Classes are designed to introduce young people to the world of the theatre by providing students of all ages with the means to actively explore the dramatic process, craft and the discipline of performing. The goal of every class is to teach young performers the skills they need to articulate ideas, work as part of a group, problem solve and think creatively whether onstage or off. The classes provide students with valuable skills that will serve them in life and whatever profession they one day choose.

Acting 1: (Ages 8 to 11): 10 a.m. to noon weekdays, July 20 through 31.
