CHENANGO COUNTY – While Chenango County has been enjoying the first taste of spring weather, melting snow and rain across the area could cause potential flooding in some areas of the county.

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a flood watch for Chenango and the surrounding areas. According to the NWS, “the rain that has fallen in the last 24 hours could lead to additional flooding along already swollen area rivers, streams and creeks.”
