SHERBURNE – The St. Patrick’s Parade Committee has chosen Robert Tenney of Sherburne as the Grand Marshal of this year’s parade. Tenney will be leading the wearing of the green on Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m. The parade will proceed from the Sherburne Fire Station and proceed up North Main Street to the Cotton Mill parking lot. Following the parade GLENRAVEL featuring Mike Carnrike will be performing at Fox Run Event Center on Rt. 12B, Sherburne.

The list of parade participants keep growing everyday. Parade goers can look forward to three bagpipe groups The Syracuse Highlanders Pipe Band, The Hobart Pipe and Drum Band, and the Edward P. Maloney Memorial Pipe Band. The musical group Intermission from Utica, New York will be first time participants this year. The 2008 parade had thirty-five groups participate and the committee wants to increase that number for this parade.
