Oxford Primary School pitches in to help rescued dogs

OXFORD – The story of the 76 Pomeranians seized by Sheriff’s Deputies and the SPCA from an Oxford property earlier this month has touched the hearts of many.

None more than Oxford resident Rebecca Doing, who lived near the property from which the dogs were rescued. “I could hear them barking,” she said.

For Doing it was a relief to know that the animals are now safe at the SPCA, but she is still concerned for the Pomeranians.

Knowing that the SPCA doesn’t normally house that many dogs, Doing set about gathering supplies to donate to the shelter.
