UV-Edmeston (0-7) at Sauquoit Valley (0-7), Thursday, 7 p.m.

Sauquoit Valley is looking for the same thing as Unadilla Valley-Edmeston: It’s first win.

The two clubs square off tonight at 7 p.m. in an intersectional contest in which one of the two teams will go home a winner for the first time in 2008. “We had high hopes, but it’s been one of those years and we didn’t accomplish what we thought we could or should,” said UV-E third-year coach Jack Loeffler. “We had a nice second half last week, and we want to play with pride and dignity. We would like to finish up with two wins so we can get some confidence for the guys coming back next year.”
