OXFORD – Oxford raced to a five-goal first-half lead against Afton Friday afternoon, and won for the sixth time in seven games.

Kyle Ferrington and Taylor Bates traded off on the first four Oxford goals. P.J. Hubman, Chris Marks, and Justin Schray also tallied for the Blackhawks.

“I think we stepped it up a little bit today, and I hope that carries over to the Delhi game,” said Oxford coach Jon Rogers. “Delhi is a team that you have to score on and stay on top of.”

Otselic Valley 3, Madison 0

MADISON – Otselic Valley completed a three-game sweep of games last Friday scoring all of its goals in the second half at Madison.

Nate Stark had two goals for the Vikings and David Cerasani added a third for OV, who broke the scoreless tie 10 minutes into the second half.

“We were finally able to score a goal, and that caused the momentum to shift in our favor,” said OV coach Dave Loomis.

OV hosts Stockbridge Valley today.
