Norwich girls impressive

Norwich 5, Chenango Valley 2

NORWICH – Norwich's tennis team swept all four singles matches for the first time this season, and won its second match in as many days to move over the .500 mark on Wednesday.

Sophie Stewart and Bryn Loomis captured straight sets wins at first and second singles, Reva Seager won in straight sets at third singles, and Jessica Lerner improved to 5-0 with a 6-4, 6-4 win at fourth singles. “I thought this would be a closer match,” said Norwich coach John Stewart. “The kids are really playing well and playing with confidence.”

Elsewhere, Unadilla Valley won its second tennis match in three outings beating Hancock 3-2.
