McDONOUGH – The McDonough Library will receive limited funding from the Town of McDonough thanks to a decision at the town board meeting on Monday.

According to McDonough Town Supervisor Arrington Canor, the library will receive between $500 and $600 this year. This is the amount currently left in the budget for the Four County Library System’s Cybermobile.

Canor felt it was important for the town to show support for the newly-opened library and community center. “The library project was a great community effort,” said Canor.

The town supervisor hopes to see more money allocated to the facility in next year’s budget. “Budgets will be very bad this year for all the towns because of fuel, but I’m hoping to do something for them,” stated Canor.
