Zach Montgomery singled and stole second in the seventh, and scored on reserve Chris Emerson’s game-tying single. Emerson was inserted into the lineup early in the game after starting pitcher Corin Todd went down with an injury.

Montgomery’s triple in the eighth cleared the bases and scored John Scofield, Greg Delaney, and Kevin Davis. Brett Smith added an insurance RBI singling in Montgomery.

Smith pitched 5 2-3 innings in relief of Todd for the win, and Andrew Delmar tossed a scoreless eighth inning.

Montgomery and Smith went 3-for-5, while Delmar and Scofield had two hits.

UV again found itself in the hole after Sherburne’s Mike Wilson knocked in two with a single in the top of the third.
