Big name in Christian music to play local venue

NORWICH – Calvary Baptist Church in Norwich is setting the stage – both literally and figuratively – for a big name in Christian music.

Hailed in the contemporary Christian music scene as one of the genre’s premier groups, the band “Unspoken” will be performing at 7 p.m. Friday, June 12 at Calvary Baptist Church in Norwich. The pop-rock quartet is a national touring group with hits that are getting plenty of airtime on Christian radio.

Tickets are available online through Calvary Baptist’s website, cbcnorwich.com, or by calling the church office at 334-6698.

“We’re excited to have a band like this play in Norwich” said Tina Lindridge, Calvary Baptist Church member and one of the event’s coordinators. “Many people listen to Christian radio. So to hear one of the bands you hear on the radio bring their music that's inspiring is just an exciting treat that we don't often get the opportunity for.”

Unspoken has been in the radar of Christian music fans since band mates Chat Mattson, Mike Gomez, Jon Lowry and Ariel Munoz released their debut single “Who You Are” in 2012. Their most recent song, “Lift My Life Up,” is aired locally on FM radio stations including K-Love and Family Life Network. More impressive, their song “Good Fight” currently holds the 16th spot on Billboard’s top 25 list of hot Christian songs.
