Duddy receives statewide honor

NORWICH – Charlene Duddy, Environmental Services Supervisor at United Methodist Homes’ Doris L. Patrick Campus in Norwich, was presented with the 2009 Long-Term Care Employee of Distinction Award by the New York State Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (NYAHSA). Carl Young, NYAHSA President, bestowed the honor during a ceremony at the campus on Sept. 2.

Duddy, who has been with United Methodist Homes for 17 years, was nominated for the award by Doris L. Patrick Campus Continuous Quality Improvement Coordinator Kate Conant. Duddy was selected to receive the award because of her long-term commitment to residents, colleagues and the organization. She is described as an exemplary team player, always ready to assist wherever help is needed. Testimonials from residents show she’s loved and respected, and her coworkers hold her in the highest esteem.
