NORWICH – The 2024 Norwich-Oxford Little League season is underway as the opening day parade and festivities took place on Saturday, May 4. The parade was led off by Norwich Varsity players from the back of Grand Union, to Griffin Street, and then made their way to the high school before crossing the fields to the little league field for opening day ceremonies. Thank you were given out to the coaches and the Norwich-Oxford Little League board for all their time. Norwich-Oxford also thanked the Bainbridge-Guilford rookie team for coming out to play their rookie team. To conclude opening ceremonies, six graders were honored since it was their last season playing little league. The oldest baseball and softball player threw out the first pitch before teams went to their assigned field to play ball. (Photos by Morgan Golliver)
