Baseball: Afton Wins 10th Straight Game; Defeats Schenevus

SCHENEVUS - The Afton Crimson Knights keep on rolling as they picked up their 10th straight win in Saturday's matinee vs Scheneveus. Afton defeated the Dragons 8-1 to improve to 12-2 on the season.

The Crimson Knights crushed four runs in the first off the bat of Justin Reeve who drilled a grand slam to left field. Reeve drove in his fifth run with a sac-fly in the fourth inning. Reeve, Braydon Baciuska, and Matt Carman had two hits each in the win. Carman, Baciuska, and Carter Burns each drove in a run as well.

Reeve and Baciuska split time on the mound, where Reeve went the distance with six innings of work, allowing one run on two hits, three walks, and struck out nine batters. Baciuska ended the game with one walk and two strikeouts in the win.

Afton is expected to play on Tuesday, but the opponent is unknown at this time.
