BAINBRIDGE - After a big win against Oxford in their season opener, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats softball team held their home opener on Monday against a tough Greene team.

Both teams battled it out into a high-scoring affair, which B-G took the 12-10 advantage for their second win of the season. B-G racked up 12 hits off Greene's Tatiana Wells through six innings.

The Bobcats led off their half of the first inning with three runs with Brenna George taking a crack at a hard ball to left field for a double. She stole third base before scoring on an error. Gabby Cuozzo hit a two-out infield single and ended up on second. Cuozzo came in to score on Danica Park's RBI single. Jayslin Henderson followed with an RBI double before the Trojans defense fielded the final out.

B-G added three more runs in the third inning to go up 6-0. Alessandra Cafasso led off the inning with a double to right field and scored on Danica Park's at-bat on a dropped third strike. Henderson picked up another RBI on a ground-out while the final run of the inning scored on a misplayed pop-fly.

Greene answered back with three runs in the fourth inning to cut the lead in half and continued to fight in the fifth and sixth innings, but couldn't stop B-G from adding six more runs in the fifth inning.
