COVENTRY— One small Coventryville farm with a huge heart, offers fresh organic foods to area neighbors, family, and friends.

Black Oak Farm owners Samantha and Raymond Frederick have taken their two acre plot of property, located at 322 Owlville Road and worked the land to establish their own brand of farm fresh foods.

They not only provide meats, produce, and breads to family and friends, but to area residents as well.

The Fredericks established their farm in 2016 and lately did a bit of rebranding to grow and offer more to the public.

“I think its so important to know where your food is coming from and to know you're neighbor produced it and helped support them,” said Samantha. “It's also important to help grow our local economy.”

“I really started all of this because I wanted to feed my family healthy, organic food, that I could be proud to say I've grown,” she said.

She added, “It's just so important to know we're not putting chemicals in our body. And it's so hard when there's a long chain that your food goes through when you buy it from the market.”

They raise pigs, rabbits, chickens, turkeys for Thanksgiving, and ducks. She said they dabble in a little bit of everything.
