WATERVILLE – The Sherburne-Earlville softball team traveled to Waterville on Monday afternoon, where they shut down the Eagles 15-0. S-E is currently second in Section III Class B, behind Marcellus, who is 7-2. As far as the CSC standings, S-E is second to Herkimer, who has an unbeaten league record while S-E has only lost to them. S-E improves to 6-1 through seven games played and with six regular season games remaining.

S-E continues to have dominant pitching from Haleigh Fisher, who struck out 19 batters and walked two in a no-hitter. Her stellar performance gave a rise to the offense, who scored 15 runs on eight hits.

After the first two scoreless innings, S-E got on the board in a big way with six runs scored before adding two in the fifth and seven more in the sixth. S-E loaded the bases quickly in the third inning with two walks and a hit by pitch. An error brought in a run and kept the bases loaded for Savanna Born, who drew a walk to send in a run. Reagan Krueger followed with a two-run single to center field while two more runs would come in on bases-loaded walks.
