ELMIRA  – With the convincing win on Saturday afternoon against host Thomas A. Edison, Unadilla Valley moves to 3-1 on the season and sits fourth in the current 8-Man league standings for Section IV Football.

The Storm controlled both sides of the ball as they were able to hold Edison to single touchdown defensively while the visiting team up 51 points on the scoreboard on the other side of the ball. Blaine Rifanburg and Kyler Butts each scored three touchdowns in the game and teammate John Leonard added one 63 yards from the line of scrimmage.

Rifanburg, UV’s quarterback from a season ago, moved to the running back position prior to the first game of the season due to a broken arm in the team’s scrimmage. Using his speed and shiftiness in the backfield, Rifanburg took the ball 18 times during Saturday’s game for 128 yards on the ground.
