NORWICH - The Norwich Indoor Track team continues to excel this season, when they recently competed and performed well, including breaking multiple school records, in two recent invitationals; the Doug Quinney Invitational, which took place at Cornell University in Ithaca, last Saturday, Jan. 7, and the Marine Corps holiday classic, which was held at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York City on Dec. 29.

At the Marine Corps holiday classic, the team managed to shatter two records, and tie another. Ben Ericksen broke the Tornado record in the mile steeplechase event, with a time of 4:54.78, while the Tornado girl’s 200-meter team, comprised of Emily Shattuck, Caroline Stewart, Delilah Geislinger and Alison Mikalunas, also set the new mark for Norwich, with a time of 1:55.949.
