Bobcats claw to new heights, reaching semifinals before slamming to halt with a loss

LANSING – The boys varsity team of Bainbridge-Guilford will go down in school history following with the completion of the 2016 season, despite the 3-0 loss they suffered to Lansing.

“This is the furthest we (Bainbridge-Guilford) have ever gotten in sectional playoffs, ever. Made it to the quarterfinal I think twice, and lost,” said Bainbridge-Guilford head coach Peter Feltham. “Two years ago we got knocked out in the last minute of the quarterfinals to Spencer VanEtten, so yeah this is our first time to a semi.”

And with that first experience – and with one step closer in the right direction in 2016 – Feltham's Bobcats will conclude their hopeful season with a loss at the hands of number two-seeded Lansing.

Lansing jumped out to a strong first half of play over B-G during Tuesday's, Oct. 25, sectional matchup.

Lansing saw goals come from three different athletes in the first half of play – Ryan Besemer, Nick Parkes, and Taylor Overton.
